Biography of Michael Girke
Michael Girke began his career as consultant in 1991 and joined Wavestone in Germany 1998. Currently Michael is CFO and venture lead at Wavestone in Germany.
Born in 1966, Michael Girke is a graduate of the Technical University (Computer Science) in Munich with additional academic background from Florida State University (USA, Mathematics) and University of St. Gall (Switzerland, Business Administration). He began his career in 1991 at Accenture as a System Integration consultant and as of 1994 with managing research cooperation projects at the Institute of Insurance Economics (University St. Gall).
In 1998 Michael joined Wavestone in Germany (former Q_PERIOR) and over time took on several roles in Wavestone’s core consulting business like SAP consultant and programmer, key account manager, SAP consulting practice lead – as well as leading corporate functions like HR, Finance, Legal, M&A and building up and managing new ventures. Currently Michael is CFO and Venture lead at Wavestone in Germany.
